We’ve been hard at work here at Code Conquest and are excited to announce a few changes. The first is the implementation of a blog. Although, the site is built on WordPress, we don’t currently present our content in a blog format because of its nature. However, we feel there is a need for more dynamic content that a blog would provide, so we would like to introduce the Code Conquest Blog!
What will we cover on our blog? Let’s take a look.
A Focus on Desktop and Mobile Web Development
With all the programming languages we could help our readers become more proficient at, we feel the most beneficial are web based programming languages focused on building desktop websites, mobile optimized websites and apps.
Why? Simply put, our readers are looking for this type of content. If you would like to learn some of the more traditional enterprise languages like C++ or Java, the software shop you work for will most likely put you through specific training to follow the best practices they already have in place.
For the rest of us, learning how to build web based properties opens up many opportunities like freelancing, consulting, building out your own ideas, buying existing web based properties and improving them. This can all be done while working in a traditional IT shop.
So, like all programmers, we want to reduce redundancy and give you the best content for the little amount of time you have.
Announcing New and Updated Content
Previously, if we released new content, you may not have known about it. Now, we have a forum to announce all content updates and newly released content. For example, stay tuned for revamped learn to code reviews of all of the current players in the industry like TeamTreeHouse.com, Lynda.com, CodeSchool.com and Codecademy.com.
Industry News
Having a hard time keeping up with the latest in programming news, tools, tips and helpful resources? Don’t fret, let us be your one stop shop for industry news and content. We’ll curate the best information that will help you the most on your journey to mastering a language or becoming a coding ninja.
Insight from Industry Partners
We are deeply ingrained in the industry and often hear news from our partners before the average person and will pass this information on to you. This includes new courses available, new tools, new websites and apps that help developers and anything that is cutting edge from the experts in teaching programming.
Development Tips
Everyone likes to hear what others are doing to become more efficient as a coder. One of our favorite pieces of content to create and share are development tips to help improve on all aspects of coding. We’ll cover everything from your work environment to creative and effective uses of comments.
Coding Challenges and Promotions
Do you like coding challenges and quizzes? Occasionally we are presented with a promotion from one of our partners. We’ll share this with you if you can conquer our coding challenge!
As you can see, we have a lot planned for Code Conquest. We hope you take time to sign up for our newsletter in the sidebar to ensure you don’t miss a thing!
